When I was told that I would give birth to an amazing baby girl with Down Syndrome, I knew it would take a lot of love, joy, and hard work to raise a strong and secure child. I sat up at night thinking about who she'd be and if she'd be happy. I never really thought about if she'd be able to get the things she needed most. It never occurred to me that the resources I needed to give her the best chance would be out of reach, but they were. Unfortunately they are for a lot of families in Washington DC.

Kapable endeavors to bridge the gap between those with family members with Special Needs and the services they have a right to for their best chance by meeting families where they are. we act as a broker of valuable information necessary to ensure that a person's disability doesn't become a bigger barrier than necessary in their pursuit to simply exist.
